Sheet Music Digital One Minute Lesson #11 - Repeat Sign

Below is an example of an end repeat sign.

When you see an end repeat sign, it means that you repeat the song from the very beginning and end the second time through, at the repeat sign, if there is no other double bar line.

Below is Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star with an end repeat sign.
Notice that the song plays though twice!

You will find music where the end repeat is not always at the end of the song.
They can be placed anywhere in the score.

Below is Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star with a beginning and ending repeat sign in the middle of the score. Notice the double bar line to indicate the end of the score.
In this example the measures between the ending signs are repeated and then carries on to the double bar line at the end of the score.
