Scorch File Information

What To Do If You Cannot Hear the Sound in Scorch

If you cannot hear the music when you click on the Scorch plug-in
then there are 3 possibilities:

  1. Your speakers have been accidentally turned down or off.

  2. You need to change the playback device in Scorch.

Below is an example of the icon to click on and how you can select different sound devices depending on your computer. The options on your system may not be the same as below, but try selecting a different option and then playing the Scorch file again.

  1. This may be because you have you midi volume muted or turned down on your computer internal settings.

You will need to check the volume levels.

As an example, in Windows XP you go to "Control Panel" and then "Sounds and Audio Devices" and then "Advanced" to pull up the mixer. Below is an example.

Make sure the mute button is not checked and the slider control for the "MIDI" selector is up high as Scorch uses the Midi controls to play the music back.

Experiment with the score below and try selecting different Playback Devices to see
what options you have on your computer.
