  • Bassoon fingering charts
A list of all available fingering charts for Heckel-model (German) basoons. The fingerings apply to both bassoons and contrabassoons. Each fingering chart is split up by acoustic octaves, whose ranges are notated and clickable. Trills are arranged in order by the lower, principal note.

  • Bassoon Fingering Trainer
A very nice site that allows you to test yourself on proper bassoon fingering. Will show you the correct fingering when your choice is not quite right.

  • British Double Reed Society
The British Double Reed Society is a non-profit making organisation established to further the interests of all involved with the oboe and bassoon. The BDRS acts as a national forum for debate and the exchange of ideas, information and advice on all aspects of double reed instruments. It also fulfils an important role in encouraging greater interest in the instruments, and securing their place in the wider cultural and educational environment.

  • Fox Products - Bassoons, Oboes, English Horns
he concept of what is now Fox Products Corporation began in Hugo Fox's imagination sometime between 1922 and 1949, the years when he was principal bassoonist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He founded his company in South Whitley, Indiana, during the summer of 1949 and the first bassoon was completed in November 1951. During that first production year, 12 instruments were finished and delivered.

  • International Double Reed Society
The International Double Reed Society (IDRS) was established in December of 1971 and is a world-wide organization of double reed (oboe and bassoon family) players, instrument manufacturers and enthusiasts.
