About Our Licensed Scorch Files
We
currently have
44,689
licensed Scorch files on our site. There are only a few
things to keep in mind when you are interested in purchasing
one of these files.
To view, play
and print the files you need to make sure you have the
free Scorch plug-in
installed on your computer. This plug-in is compatible
with most operating systems like Windows and Mac and
most browsers.
Due to publisher licensing restrictions,
you will only be able to view the first page of these
scores but you will be able to play, transpose and print
this first page of most Scorch scores for free. This is
to allow you to see how it looks when printed.
While most Scorch scores can be
transposed and printed, there are some that do not allow
this, such as some guitar tab and lead sheet music. This
is again due to publisher restrictions.
Once you purchase a Scorch score, you
will be able to
view all
pages before or after you print the music. You will
be allowed to
print each
score 2 times.
Licensed
Scorch scores are different from our
public domain
library in the sense that we allow you to view all pages
of our public domain scores at any time.
We are
always here to help should you have any questions about your
order and we will always make sure you are 100% happy with
your purchase. If you hit a snag or make a mistake, we can
always reset another print for you!

A common question we get
is how come
we don't offer
these for free? The answer is simple:
Imagine if you were a songwriter and wrote a hit song that was
published. You would get paid for every time someone buys your song.
You and the publisher have what is called a copyright - that is the
right that is given to someone to have a copy your song, for a fee.
There is also copyright fee that goes to the recording artist, the
publisher, the lyricist etc. By illegally offering the music for
free, the musicians and publishers are not getting what they
deserve, a copyright fee.
When you buy music from us, all the
copyright fees are looked after using our publishing arrangements
with companies like Hal Leonard Music, Alfred Music Publishers
and many other publishers. Everyone must pay to print these
selections as we have to pay a license fee every time you purchase
and print a song that is copyright protected. These will be songs
that are from current artists and older artists like the Beatles,
big-band selections and most songs that date post 1923.
